Companies failed before the iPad. Obviously, Intel likes to fail even after the iPad.
Too thick, probably too heavy, to many hinges, too hilarious.

The ReadItLater look-and-feel was way better than this Pocket thing. Sad.

Fail. Just like that Windows Phone thing. To date Microsoft does not even have software to compete with iOS.

They take their customers for fools and cover the ridiculousness with “customer service”.

follow-up: netatalk, avahi, time machine interaction

following up the post on the apparent correlation between netatalk share names and avahi service advertisement i need to inform you that it wasn’t the whole truth.

as a matter of fact, netatalk registers (if compiled with zeroconf support) it’s services (thus including an eventually configured tm share) via dbus with avahi.

in case you manually advertise your time machine airdisk with a manually configured avahi service file, time machine may get confused.

i advice to decide for either technique to be used.
you can disable netatalk’s automatic service propagation via the afpd.conf flag -nozeroconf.

The Lions Mane Jellyfish is the largest jellyfish in the world. They have been swimming in arctic waters since before the dinosaurs (over 650 million years ago) and are among some of the oldest surviving species in the world.
The largest can come in at about 6 meters and has tentacles over 50 meters long. Pretty amazing when you think these things have been swimming around for so long.
They have hundreds of poisonous tentacles that it used to catch passing by fish. it then slowly drags in it’s prey and eats it.
That is terrifying.
